Celebrate summer with us — right in the heart of Berlin! The Spreeinsel Neighborhood Festival — Summer on the Island, brings together local residents, students, cultural institutions, and guests from all over Berlin for an unforgettable day filled with music, inspiring conversations, and culinary delights. 

Festival highlights

  • Varied selection of BBQ specialties, bao burgers, vegan and vegetarian delicacies as well as refreshing drinks and ice cream treats
  • Fun for the little ones, including a bouncy castle, face painting, and balloon figures
  • Live music from the Hanns Eisler School of Music and the ESMT Choir "Connected"
  • Sports activities, with the kind support of Füchse Berlin Reinickendorf e. V.
  • Panel discussion on urban development, featuring Berlin’s Chief Urban Planner Prof. Petra Kahlfeldt 
  • Exhibition on current construction projects in Berlin-Mitte
  • Guided tours to the archaeological trail of the PETRI Berlin
  • Raffle

You can reach the garden through the main building (Schlossplatz 1) and the entrance on Breite Straße.

Getting there:

  • Public transport: e.g., S-Bahn Alexanderplatz/ Hackescher Markt, Tram from Alexanderplatz, U-Bahn U5 Museumsinsel 
  • Bicycle parking is available outside across from the main building at the Humboldt Forum 
  • No parking available on site

  • Smoking is only allowed in designated areas.
  • We kindly ask for your understanding that dogs are not allowed on the premises.
