About the speakers
Roland Busch is president and CEO of Siemens AG, a technology company that focuses on the backbone of economies: manufacturing, infrastructure, transport, and healthcare. He joined Siemens because he is passionate about applying technology to solve the world’s biggest challenges. From more agile factories to intelligent buildings and grids, to sustainable transportation and better healthcare, Siemens’ technologies transform the everyday. Roland Busch’s nearly three decades at Siemens span industries and regions – from automotive supply to the Internet of Things, from Erlangen to Shanghai. He studied physics at Friedrich Alexander University in Erlangen-Nuremberg, where he also received his doctorate, and at the University of Grenoble in France.
Linus Dahlander is professor of strategy and holder of the Lufthansa Group Chair in Innovation at ESMT. He teaches classes for MBA and EMBA students, executives, and PhD students on digitalization, innovation, entrepreneurship, and networks. In his ongoing research, he investigates how new ideas and innovations are developed in networks and communities. These projects use large-scale analysis of networks and study novel questions which can advance academic literature, while at the same time focusing on issues that can affect how managers think about their business to help them make better decisions. He received his PhD from Chalmers University of Technology and did a postdoc at Stanford University.
